LOOKING FOR!!!
I have a 12ga. SXS that has C.S. SHATTUCK, HATFIELD,MASS.pat. june 1897 stamped on receiver & butt plate.Barrel,forearm,&stock all have 2187 stamped on them.Anyone know any history,need help on this one,thanks TOM.

My references note that Shattuck was in business from the late 1870's until 1909. He made inexpensive handguns as well as shotguns.
The date you mention on the shotgun, is actually a patent date. It's given as being "Jan. 5, 1897".

Shattuck, C.S. Arms Co. Also C.S. Shattuck, Hatfield, Mass., About 1880-90, Makers of Unique palm pistol and Shattuck cartridge revolvers and shotguns. Prior to Aptil 1, 1880, the firm was HYDE & SHATTUCK....Thats all I have in mt database....best...
