COP Stainless .38/.357
First time I've seen one of these, just wondering if anyone has
any experience with this firearm.

Cook- Inquired into one in stainless last week at a gunshow. Handled it a little, a bit bulky in the fore spars for any known holster. The dealer said "he has one" and they're "good shooters." Uh huh. Anyway, he wanted $500 for it. That's about what I learned, concerning the four-barrel. Not a practical carry piece. And I'm suspicious of the extra tech necessary, seems like just more to break. Interesting, though. 0 -
They date to the early 80's, made in Southern Cali., didn't have a good reputation back then. Don't imagine that has changed much over the years.

Sure, they are great if you like a five pound, four shot pistol with a thirty pound trigger pull! I think they are garbage. You can get a five shot model 640 revolver that is lighter, easier to shoot, easier to conceal. The COP pistol is an oddity, nothing more. I guess you could always use it as a bludgeon when you expended your four rounds!

An idea that never caught on. Modern day version of pepperbox?
Unless your a collector of off the wall guns I don't think this is something that you would want to buy.

Agree with both posts. I remember in the early 80s ? they were dealer priced at 289. ? then went down from there as the months passed. IMO. nambu 0 -
Agree with the others, we had 2 sell in our shop not too long ago. The owner of our shop took one out in the range and was able to actually shoot the pattern of the barrels. Kinda neat. They are heavy and goofy looking though.
I think Leinad also makes a cheap 4 barrel derringer.

I haven't seen one in about 20 years. Then my opinion was "about as handy as pockets in underware" and I think even less of them now.
