help on derringer
Can anyone give me any information on a derringer, on the side it says Jukar and Spain with a serial number on the barrel. it has wood on it all way down the barrel.The barrel is octogonal.IT is black powder percussion with a hammer . It also has Derringer Philidelphia towards the back of it. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks guys.

Inexpensive copy of Henry Deringer Percussion Pocket Pistol that many people call the "Philadelphia Deringer" because the originals were marked "Deringer/Philadela".
Widly copied and often marked "Derringer Philadelphia" or "Philadelphia Derringer" etc.
In the U.S. alone there were nearly 90 makers of good quality copies.

my DERINGER (note the spelling) is marked PHILADA (note the spelling) most european (spanish and belgian) copies spell both wrong. FLAYDERMANS has some nice bio and historical info on HENRY and his guns, including the .22 short 7-shot revolvers. best regards, mike.
