A-bolt Which Mounts/Rings LH
Now that I've got my LH A-bolt Medallion and have a relative setting me up with a scope (Leupold VXIII 3.5-10x40mm) I would like to ask what Bases/Rings would be best suited for set up on a .300 Win Mag. I have heard that 1pc mounts are better but I like the look of the 2pc setups. Also I'm not sure about the availibility of the 1pc designs for left handed applications on the A-bolt. Please let me know what you think might be a good choice for this application. Thanks

orsouthpaw, I have a A-bolt in .300 winmag and I use leupold 2 piece mounts. I put a drop of loctite on the screws and have shot well over 400rnds with no movement whatsoever.
I also used leupold rings.

Might consider Burris Dual Dovetail Signature rings with two piece bases. The dual dovetail is rock solid and the ring inserts will make up for any misalignment so you don't have to have the rings lapped. I have this set up on a 338 win. mag and it has served me well................[8D] 0 -
If you are set up to lap the rings, I would go with Warnes. If not, I would go with the Burris Signature rings.

I like the leupold DD dual dovetail set-up, its stout and looks great.
Lapping the rings is a good idea, not that hard to do either.
