Anschutz rifles in general a good value?
I am looking to purchase a Anschutz 64 MPR for me and a 1451R for the kids to start with, am I making any mistakes on this I had looked at the SAKO Finnfire range but it costs more than the Anschutz listed any thoughts?

They make good guns. 0 -
all are great guns including a feinwerkbauw. try one of those too. rule of thumb, spring is best, then pump, then c02.

Quality with a capital Q. They are renown for accuracy and workmanship. Buy one !
God gave us all a gift. Have you found yours yet ?0 -
I can only second the opinion of Quality with a capital Q. =o)
I own a 1451 and it's quality throughout the gun - I love it.
I've found some strong and wide steel scope rings and put on the Schmidt&Bender 1.5-6*42 scope I had from my Steyr Mannlicher Scout.
I haven't regretted that choise.
It's pinpoint accuracy, very straight forward trigger that breaks the same way every time.
If it an Ansh?tz - you won't regret the buy and the kids will love you for it.
There's singleshot adapters, 5 shot and 10 shot mags for it too - it's easy to clean and disassemble.
One screwdriver to take the barrel off the stock - and the same screwdriver and a Hex-key to disassemble the triggergroup.
Everything else can be disassembled by hand.
I don't know where Feinwerkbau would fit in here, as it's nor a .22LR rifle - but airrifle.
But yes - Feinwerkbau makes some of the absolute best air- and CO2-rifles ever obtainable for competitive use.
Feinwerkbau also makes some really great airpistols with magazine and 200-300Bar pressuretank - some of their rifles have an airtank also if I remember correctly.
But you won't regret buying an Ansh?tz - well, you might regret not buying one sooner.
Don't do anything that I've allready done - That'd be just plain STOOOOOOPID.0 -
isnt it funny how the mind works? i heard anschutz and the first thing i remember is 177 air! sorry. feinwerkbauw does make a 22 now that i think of it. it was marketed by mr beeman. still, another good gun for 22. regards... 0 -
