284 winchester , model 70
Hi All
Was wondering if anyone can tell me if Winchester ever chambered thier mod.70 in 284 win .
I know ( Think ) they made it availble with the "detachable mag "
mod. in 1994
I have been searching for one for quite some time now with no luck and I would like to know if i'm chasing a ghost or not [?][?]
Not sure if I can live without one [:p][:p] and I think all the other 70's need a new buddy [;)]

yes they made one and i owned one once...i advertised to buy one and even got a few response...goodluck 0 -

Pa... the specific Winchester that has the title "The Gun that Won the West" is the Model 1873 (not the Model 1894/94), and some argue that the title really should belong to the Model 1866.

That is simply nothing more than an advertising ploy on Winchester's part... they know full well which Winchester model really has that title.
