FIE Black powder revolver
I would like to know what company made this for FIE.
I have a replica of a Colt pocket 1849 31 cal imported by FIE. It has a square backed trigger guard and uses a very small 6X1 nipple. It was made in 1975 (AA in a box on the frame). The serial number is A563. The only clue that I have as to who made it is a logo on the bottom of the grip frame. It is a P superimposed over a slightly smaller R. I have been all over it with a magnifing glass and can find no other clue.
I hope you can find a picture of the logo here:

Thanks for the help,

For some reason your hype-link wouldn't work for me. I had to copy the link to the address block in my browser, to get it to work, i.e. show the picture?

Hi rufe-snow
I have tried it and it works for me.
Thank You for looking.

Has anyone figured out what the PR stands for that is stamped on the F.I. E. replica gun? A friend has one also and we are both going nuts trying to find out what it means. We are also trying to find out who actually manufactured the gun. Would anyone have an idea?
Thanks!

Hello Bob,
I haven't stopped looking for the PR answer yet. I have been looking for three years now. In June and July of this year, the lady at Navy Arms asked all their vendors if they had any information on that logo and none of them knew anything about it. Looks like this one is going to be hard to answer.
Please let me know if you find out anything.

Will do Lee. Always love a good mystery, but this is crazy. 0
