Some models of the Smithsonian were made by Crescent in Norwich, CT. This would put your shotgun in the "Hardware Store" gun category.

    Any other markings on it?

Thanks for the reply. No there are no other markins on the gun other than the smithsonian on the side. Do you have any idea of the value? Thanks Brett

Brett.....if your "Smithsonian" was made by Crescent (apparently some were, and some weren't) it was originally an inexpensive, but decent quality, shotgun.

Hardware Store Guns have little collector value. Assuming it's in good working order, it's worth about $50 to $150, depending on condition.

I have no idea about the .30-30.
