Cruso Rifle
I recently obtained a .22 LR single shot rifle with the name CRUSO engraved on the left rear of the bolt housing. On the top of the barrel is stamped Model CB. Can anyone tell me who made this rifle and the value. The exterior is fair but the bore is pitted. It can be fired. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bshooter

Cruso or Caruso, was a trade name used by Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co., who were a very large Chicago wholesale hardware company, during the early years of the 20th Century.
No telling at this late date who actually made the rifle for them? Perhaps if you can post some pictures, one of the members can identify the manufacturer?
Most of the Cruso/Caruso marked firearms that have surfaced in the past have been "Hardware" type shotguns.
