WIDOW MAKER

I have an old Winshester Model 1911 SL in good condition. I believe this gun is called "The Widow Maker". It has a 28" or 30" full choke barrel and very pretty wood with a scratch or two. I would like to sell it, but have no idea what it is worth. Thanks.

    Fargoman, you are correct that the Md 1911 was known as the "Widow Maker" If your gun is all original, meaning original blue in at least 80% condition, with the original laminated birch stocks, you could get as low as $150 to as high as $500. It's kind of hard to put an exact value on it with out at least seeing a picture or two. Only a Winchester nut would probably buy one to fill out there collection, because they were heavy and had a few problems. Hope this helps.
