Hey Guys,
I just got a wonderful buy on a like new NRA customized colt M= 1911 gold cup 45acp with 5" barrel, extended, target sights, costom grips and springs.
I was told to used only target load with this gun as the springs are made for compotition.
My question is what bullet and load of bulls eye would best match thej bullets? Not to much for you guys! heeHeeHee

I use a 200gr SWC (RCBS mould 45-200-SWC 82046) and between 3.5 and 3.7 grains of Bullseye....depending on which gun I'm using. Different guns like different loads.
I'd start at 3.4 grains and go up a tenth at a time until you find a load that your gun likes best.0 -

Ditto, my 1991M1A1 likes 3.5 bullseye0 -
I used to shoot competition and the load I used was a 200gr. SWC lead bullet sized to .452, Federal 150 primer, Winchester 231 powder = 5.2 grains, bullet seated to 1.260" A.O.L., and taper crimped. I usually used wcc or federal brass--mostly wcc. It worked great for me. 0 -
Ditto Pinheads load! Win 231 burns cleaner, that was my match load for years. 0
