S&W M624 "Popular" with 6-1/2" Barrel?
How "Popular" is the S&W Model 624(Without any dash number)with a 6-1/2" barrel? Would a NIB, M624, be of much interest to collector's-or, would the shorter, 4" barrel, be the most wanted, barrel length? Are there any particular, good points, about this 1984-87, vintage, S&W M624? How was the quality of manufacture on these guns, during this era?

Last MSR was $449
Per BB today at 100% $340 w/ a nominal add of $14 for the 6 1/2 inch barrel.
So I think the collectable answer lies in the difference between MSR and book.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
i have owned both and both shot well, i let the 4" go and regret it as it shot better than the 6". are they as good as the 1950's mod. 24- NOPE, are they still good shoters for those of us that like the .44 special- YES. 0
