I think Stoeger is a division/company owned by Benelli. It would only make sense that they would use each other's technical work.

Both companies are owned by Beretta. I think you get the same system in the Stoeger, probably not as nice a package though(stock, finish, etc.).

Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.

I can't remember where I got it from, but yes - Benelli and Stoeger uses the same Inertia system and are both owned by Beretta.

But the link between Benelli and Stoeger would be the same as between the original Mossberg shotguns and "Maverick" shotguns by Mossberg.
Benelli has the finish or high grade shotguns - whereas Stoeger uses the same system, allthough more rugged design.

Owns a Benelli Super Black Eagle - 12gauge 3?".. loves it dearly.
I won't consider anything else than Benelli as shotgun from here on in.

I think some of the new Franchi's also use it. Look at the Benelliusa.com website - they list all of them there.

I too have a Super Black Eagle and I love it.

franchi had it in 1948. the 1st was back in 1905 by sjogren of holland. it was used on the 'inertia 12.' beretta snatched it up when patents expired.

Shot both the Benelli and Stoeger 12 ga. Bought the Stoeger, the actions are either the same or very close. As to which to buy, depends on the purpose, the Stoeger is indeed a rugged shotgun. But I love my Beretta 686 Onyz O/U.[8D]
