    Hello ZUKEBABY...

What you have is a Remington produced Browning that was made during the period shortly after WW II. During the War, firearms production in Belgium was all but stopped, and Browning contracted with Remington to continue production of the A-5. According to Browning and Remington records, from 1946-1951 Remington manufactured approximately 45,000 12 gauge, 25,000 16 gauge, and 20,000 20 gauge guns. The 12 gauge guns have a "B" prefix on the serial number, the 16 gauge will have an "A" serial prefix, and the 20 gauge will have a "C" serial prefix.

Value for a Remington manufactured A-5 is approximately 50% of a comparable FN Browning A-5.
