armscore 1911 45 auto,,opinions???
anyone ever owned or shot any of these,they look pretty good but I have no idea what kind of steel these are made out of.I build a few parts guns and I can not buy parts for what I can buy these complete guns with extended bevertails and target sights.I have a chance to buy several for under $300 each and just wondered if they were junk

My gunsmith said he had ordered a couple for other customers (Shotgun News, I think) and he thought,for the money they were a good deal....I had him order me one...by a long shot, I'm no gun expert...however, I've shot mine several hundred times without a problem...had him do a trigger job...I was told that fit and finish can be inconsistent (Phillipine Mfg.'s)...put a nice new set of Hougue cocobola grips ($95.00) on it and looks good...kinda like putting perfume on a pig I guess...bottom line, I like mine alot and feel like I've got a good piece for what I wanted and what I paid... re: Armscor .45....they also come std. with an ambi. safety and two Novack Mag.'s, mine did anyway....They refer to the sights as "Novack type" sights.... 0 -
We have 2 of those Phillipino CAI GI models in our shop. Selling em for $315ea. I've been really tempted, but have already some $700 worth of guns I still need to pay off. Guy who frequents are shop bought one recently, shot it, and said it was pretty decent.
