ok! Briley or Kolar??
I have a 12 gauge Browning xs skeet that I want to tube (28 gauge only). Do I need to have trigger work done? and, since I plan to never buy another tube which one should I buy? Thanks.[:D]

Either should serve you fine, and the tubes should have no influence on your trigger. Lastly, never is a long time ... always leave yourself some wiggle room[:D]
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
the tube companies will know what to do for your gun. since you shoot interia triggers in brownings, it usually requires a lighter set spring in the triggers. its an easy thing to do and wont effect the 12 ga operation. call john ramagllia at kolar. he'll do it right for you. i'd do it for you, but im tooled down to care for my parents needs in old age. see below. regards...

I HAD BRILEY TUBES MADE IN 20/28/410 FOR BY BERETTA 12, O/U. I HAD TO HAVE THE TRIGGERS CONVERTED TO MECHANICAL FROM INERTIA SO THE 410
WOULD FUNCTION ON THE 2ND SHOT. AS FAR AS I KNOW NOTHING NEEDS TO BE DONE FOR 12/20/28, BUT IT WOULD BE WISE TO DISCUSS WITH THE TUBE MAKER.
A WORD OF CAUTION ABOUT TUBES----UNLESS YOU ARE A COMPETITIVE SHOOTER WANTING ALL THINGS AS EQUAL AS POSSIBLE BETWEEN GAUGES, THINK ABOUT BUYING ANOTHER GUN RATHER THAN THE TUBES, IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT. THE TUBES ARE HEAVY, AND HALF THE FUN OF SHOOTING A SMALL GAUGE IS THE SMALLER/LIGHTER GUN. I SPENT ABOUT $1400 ON THE 3 GAUGE TUBE SET, USED THEM FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS, AND NEVER USED THEM AGAIN. I BOUGHT 3 NEW O/U GUNS, 20/28/410. BEST REGARDS, TYLERBOY.0 -
[:)]Thanks everyone for the information. I'll call the companies. 0 -
If you are just looking for an inexpensive set of tubes without having to send your gun off to be fitted you may want to consider the briley companion tubes. They are around $375 for the pair, & come with chokes & wrench. Best of all they do not have to be fitted to a specific gun and can be swapped around. I have not seen any inerta trigger that the 28ga would not set. 0
