M44 Rechambering?
What could I rechamber a m44 rifle to without much modification? Thanks

Min. mods would be to go to the 7.62x54R AI (same barrel and bolt face, mag should still feed)
Next would be to rebarrel and rechamber to anything that uses the same rim size. How about your own wildcat round? 5.56x54R, 9.3x54R etc. Requires a new barrel and may require mag work or else become a single shot rifle.
Last would be to rebarrel and modify the bolt face to whatever you want (assuming the same or shorter OAL).
At least one person has converted a MN into a 47-70 bolt action, but I don't know what bolt/mag mods he had to make.
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0
