My suggestion is to get yourself a spring kit from Wolfe and if that don't cure it then get an action job from a gunsmith. Or if your not comfortable doing the spring replacement, just take it to a gunsmith and tell him what you would like the end pull weight to be and take things from there.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -

Did that.
Put the middle Wt. spring in and developed mis-fires.Wondering if I might just shine and buff the Trigger working surfaces.Would that improve it much?Thinking of doing it myself.

That should help, but if you've never done any trigger work it could turn out to be an expensive proposition. Sear engagement angles are very touchy lil devils and you need good, fine, diamond faced tools for the best results.
As for the spring relacement I've done them as part of an action job on Super Redhawks, but never a Redhawk, so out of curosity I checked my references and find that the hammer spring is the trigger spring in the Redhawk and not 2 different springs as in the Super Redhawk. So that eliminates problems associated with replacing one of the springs, which is usually the hammer spring that people change out, leaving the original trigger spring.
Don't know "smith" rates in your area, but here I would say $50 or so to stone and polish with a 4 pound or so resulting pull weight that is smooth which makes the triggers feel lighter than what they really are.

Dave W. was telling me how much his S & W 's will feel compared to my LNIB Ruger SP-101 KSP-321. He mentioned "shine, polish, and buff" of the parts.
I was going to lighten it up with the Wolff Kit but after a box through it this weekend, I've decided to leave it the way it is for now.0 -
SURE CAN DO. (no kit necessary) Drop a note to Dances With Sheep and ask how his works[^] 0
