Colt Officer, Spring Problem
I got my wife a Colt Officers .45, she has a very hard time pulling the slide back. What (lb.) springs should I get???? Who makes the best? What problems will the gun have with lite springs?

Light springs "Not Good"
Have her instead of trying to pull the slide back
hold the slide with one hand and push pistol forward.
If your right handed your trying to pull the slide back with your weak hand. By pushing forward and holding the slide your using your stronger hand.

A lighter spring and 185 grain wadcutter ammo that matches it might be the solution. If she can't withdraw the slide can she handle the heavy recoild of a service load .45 ACP round? I am firmly in the camp of the "shot placement is most important" group. Consider getting her a gun that she can handle. 0 -
She can shoot it OK, just cant pull the slide back... 200gr is OK for her..
