Enfield MK1** 38 S&W revolver
I have an Enfield MK1** 38 S&W revolver. '43 date on barrel, all matching numbers. In 85+% original condition. It looks rough when compared to peace time production guns. Some double / over stamping on proofs and wording. This is the double action only and bobbed hammer. Bore great, locks up tight. Honest gun. Is this worth any more because it is a war production gun? How can I tell where it was made? Value? Bruce

There were only two factories who produced this revolver, as far as I know. Enfield or Albion. If it's marked Albion on the right side of the frame thats ware it was made.
I havn't owned one of these for years, couldn't comment on the current value. Because of the miserable trigger pull, and expense and hassle of obtaining the correct 38 S & W ammo, they never sold for a lot of money, when I was a active collector.

Rufe is "spot on" ... and value is probably $150+/- best case.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0
