Recoil pad
I'm going to put a recoil pad on a 45/70 SMLE - Gibbs Summit. Any suggestions on a recoil pad brand that is grindable? I checked out Brownells and nothing really jumps out at me.

I'd like to buy an adjustable recoil pad for my trap gun, any suggestions on brand or type? any help would be appreciated. Thanks 0 -
I don't know if they sell a adjustable pad but the best I've used is a Limb Saver worked real good. 0 -
One of the most common and economically priced are the Morgan pads. --Availible at most big catalog outlets. Heres one : Midsouth Shooters Supply. 1-800-272-3000 or www.midsouthshooters.com --- For something really nice look at G Squared.1-760-788-8888 or www.shockmaster.com -- Good Luck........[8D] 0 -
i shoot morgans. i have a brand new NIB straight morgan pad im selling. i'll sell it 1.00 cheaper than whatever catalog you look at. its collecting dust in my cabinet. btw...youll have to drill holes in your stock for it. be advised.

I bought a slip on from Wally World, works just fine on my O/U 12 gauge.

...but slip ons cant change the height of the comb and you cant move the gun left or right on the shoulder. 0 -
