    The most notable difference between the TT-30 & TT-33, was the backstrap of the grip. The TT-33's was integral, i.e. the grip was solid. Whereas the grip of the TT-30 had a removable backstrap.

    My reference shows that the TT30 was manufactured until 1936, with perhaps as many as 93,000 produced.

    If yours is dated 1940, it's a TT-33.
