remington 510 questions
I have a few questions about my remington 510 single shot .22:
1 how can I tell when mine was made?
2 What is all required to convert it to clip fed like a 511
3 What would cause it not to cock the firing pin every time (does it some times)when I push the bolt down.
4 Could #3 be caused by the bolt handle being loose? How could I fix that?

Parts are few and far between for these rifles. Everyone lists them, but no one really seems to have them. A dirty bolt may be the culprit for #3 and 4. All in all, it is worth more for parts than as a rifle.

becker,
First let me welcome you to the wonderful world of GB.
I can help with ? #1.
There should be a 2 or 3 digit date code on the barrel, just in front of the reciever on the left side.Post that code and I/we can tell you when it was made.
Or,go to:http://armscollectors.com/sn/remdates.php

The code on the left side is LJ and what looks to be a boat ancor
yet on the other side there is a 6 and a horizontal A
thanks for your help [:)]

The date code "LJ" indicates your rifle was made in Feb. 1940. 0 -
