kris, I have looked in my book "The Powder Flask Book" by Ray Riling and found 3 flasks similar to the one you listed with #342 being probably the closest to matching. These 3 flasks are English from the 19th Century (sorry, that's all the info on date of mfgr. in the book) and are said to be extra heavy with the carrying rings off-center from the joining seam. Are there any identifying marks/names on the flask or flask top? That may help narrow the search a bit, as there is a section in the book with the makers and dates of productivity. Emery

mazo kid is correct! Mid 1830's to mid 1860's....Deffinately English...DRAMS was a word used by English speaking nations...Drams is a unit of measurement...I Have or Had at least 10 Flasks that were very similar to the one You have...
