Floating Chamber Reamer

Is a Floating Chamber Reamer all that. Never used one, Is there any promblems with them. Are they worth 80 bucks??? This might be the wrong forum for this question.If so sorry.

  It would depend on your ability. The floating reamers are super for tapered bores such as the Blackstar accumax barrels etc. I would suggest working with a burned out barrel to get the feel,...unless you are an experienced gunsmith. If so,..call the company and get correct instructions. Also,...these are quite often used in several stages vaying by size.

  There might be a small misunderstanding as to what you are asking about, at least in my mind.
  
  Are you asking about a 'floating reamer holder' for holding chamber reamers while cutting a chamber or are you asking about 'interchangeable pilots' on reamers which are occasionally referred to as 'floating' pilots?
