You can only ship a firearm to an FFL dealer, Once the firearm is sold You need the buyer to send you a copy of his FFL (his dealers)
siged in ink and you can ship direct to the address on the license only. Some states have other Regulations and have more options
But this is the Best Universal way. PRIVATE shipped to FFL and you cant go wrong. This is just my experience and i recomend to Check your local laws and the BATFE web site.

You don't have to take the rifle to an FFl dealer.
You yourself can ship it to the buyer's FFl.

From the Federal perspective you can ship direct to the FFL, but only to the address shown on the ink signed FFL copy sent to you.

If you sale is in the same state it may very well be classed as a private sale and you can mail direct to buyer, but why run the risk of misunderstanding state/local regulations ... just have the buyer work through an FFL.

If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!
