1911&Clones question
I know its a stupid question but can some of you tell me the differance in the modles. Government Commander Officer And how to identify them from one another.
I have a full size S.A. 1911-A1 and a clone which is a little shorter
the clone is a LLama 9mm and I cant find any model #'s on it .I can tell you it breaks down and looks like my S.A 1911
Can you help? It's driving me crazy

The Government length model has a 5inch barrel, The Commander length model has a 4.5 inch barrel, and the officers length has a 3.5 inch barrel, and slide lengths vary accordingly. The officers model also has a shorter grip and correspondingly lower magazine capacity. Llama's are based on the 1911 design, but vary in dimensions. Yours is probably a Compact or a Mini-max. Decent guns, fun to shoot.

ok so when measuring the bbl does this include the chamber??
guess I could just measure it and find out
Thanks for the reply0 -
If you don't want to take it apart, the correct way of measuring a barrel length is to close the slide and put a dowel down the barrel, mark it and then measure it.
