CZ=quality+economy. The P-01 is a good combo of lighter weight and CZ dependability. The RAMI, their new, small model is heavier, but it will fit a pocket holster and a pocket. The RAMI is currently out in .40, in limited issue. Nines are on the way this year.

I haven't owned any of their newer stuff but I find my old CZ-70 and CZ-52 show very high quality, are utterly reliable, and accurate within their limitations. Great guns, great company imho.

For NickCWinter: Is the RAMI that small pistol like their super subcompact .45? I was all set to save for one but was told they were making only a limited run of them and I would be out of luck when I finally had the money this June.

For Jonk: Yeah, they did feel so smooth and balance. I am definitely going to look into these beauties.

NOTPARS - I remember your saying that. Yes, to my knowledge, the RAMI is the smallest CZ in .40, so far. They did make a limited number, but I hear from a favorite local gunshop that CZ will gear up for a run of .9's next, then maybe more .40's. They can't make two calibers at a time? Apparently not, while still putting out their other lines.
A CZ Compact? I have a CZ 75 Compact, and it's bigger than the RAMI. In turn, my RAMI is heavier than the Kahr P40 that followed me home last weekend. The Kahr is great to handle but 1) expensive and 2) a bear to field strip, compared to CZ, due to difficulty in dislodging the Kahr slide release pin. Just my take on it.
