older double 10's
I see a lot of older double barreled 10 ga. shotguns at auctions I don't mean damascus barrels but ones that were made around the 20's or 30's if the gun is tight and not wore out would these be safe to shoot with steel shot, just something I have always wondered about.

Not likely--- most will have full choke barrels, and worse yet, most will not have 3-1/2" chambers. 0 -
I believe all 10 ga. steel shot is 3 1/2" These older 10 gauge guns were chambered 2 7/8". 0 -
Thanks guys I knew about the full chockes but never thought about the 3 1/2 shells 0
