German pistol
I have a pistol marked P.Mod 37, Kal. 7.65.
All I can find out is it was made in Hungary for the German army between 1937 and 1941.
I have shot 1 round of .380 with it but I don't think that is the correct caliber. 7.65 converts to .308(?).
Any information will be most appreciated. Including approximate worth.

My grandmother has a pistol. I have no idea what it is, but it has GERMANY written on the side, has ivory handles, and is a .22 LR. Any help with this would be apreciated.

Acdodd,
Look up Femaru. It is .32 ACP (7.65mm)and maybe will have on the slide jvd? If so, it was in fact made for the German army.
The original caliber for the Hungarians was 9mm Kurtz which is .380.
What else would you like to know about it?
I'm leaving off a value because of your statement about shooting a .380 in it. If it's marked 7.65, can't imagine how you could have done that![:0][?]0 -
Here's a picture that I borrowed from Pancho's excellent site.
His Frommer P 37, ( Pistole 37u ) has a little pitting on it, but is still a excellent represenative example. If you would give us an idea how your pistol compares to this one condition wise, I sure some of our members will be able to give you some idea of it's value.

The gun I have is exactly like the one in the picture. Same markings and all.
I was able to load a single round of .380 manually but it would not feed a round. Only wanted to see if it was in working order.
The condition of my pistol is poor compared to the one pictured. The finish is wore pretty bad.
The serial numbers do match but the mag has no serial number.
I only paid $100.00 for it so I can't get hurt to bad.0 -

If the finish is only worn, without any pitting, restoration wouldn't be much of a problem.
For a number of years now, there's has been quite a little cottage industry going on restoring these Waffenamted pistols ( from all countries not only Hungary )
Some shade tree refinisher would be able to turn your $100 P 37 Femaru into a $500 collectors item in less than a week.

I would caution against doing anything other than cleaning and oiling. There is some value to it now, more than your initial $100. A knowledgeable individual can detect a refinished weapon and most would lose interest.
While somewhat scarce, the Femaru's are not that rare. Most collections have a few. Your weapon, from the description, would most likely fall in the $200-$325 bracket.
The magazine is not that much of a big deal on these.0 -
Thank You for the information.
I think I'll find somebody to sell it to.
Maybe even break even.

You have a good little gun, you must know by now it shoots 32 auto. Also to find out all about it type (german WWII ordinance codes) in ypur search bar and you can find a web page that gives you all the info. on the markings of your gun. My 37M was brought back from WWII from my grandfather w/ original 2 clips and holster. I think it would be worth more cleaned up than restored
