AWB Question

You have confused different weapons & different regulations.

The term "AWB" is really a misnomer; a more accurate term would have been "so-called Assault Weapon Ban", as none of the banned weapons is an assault weapon. True assault weapons are full auto, & the AWB law does not address full auto weapons. The term "pre-(year) sample" does not apply to the AWB; it only affects Class 3 (full auto) weapons.

As to bayonet lugs, flash suppressors, & other evil features, no one knows what the manufacturers will do. Even if some manufacturers offer rifles with these features, they will not be "the same" as current "pre-ban" guns, which will probably always be worth at least some premium in NIB condition. No one ever "needed" a bayonet lug or flash suppressor; they just "wanted" a gun with these features because they were "banned". If they are available again, few people will care enough to buy a new one.

The production of high cap mags will certainly resume, but no one knows if the status of marked "LE/mil" mags will change. At least, high cap mags will be cheap once again.
