Pre-war Woodsman barrel

I have a Colt Woodsman pre-war match target barrel.Its the one thats 6 1/2" long thick in the rear and tapers down to the front.The thing I don,t understand is that this barrel doesn't have the bullseye with Match Target written on it.Can anyone tell me why this is?
