TAURUS TITANIUM
I just ordered a model 445 .44 special Taurus Titanium revolver in stealth gray finish and was wondering if anyone has any comments on this gun as far as accuracy, dependability ect. I was told it is being discontinued by Taurus. I have owned several Taurus handguns over the years, but this is my first Titanium. I plan on loading some 200 grain Silvertips for it. Any feedback is appreciated.

I bought one in Jun 2002. The internal lock failed right away, it locked up the action. Taurus repaired it, and no trouble since. It is accurate, lightweight and the 44 spl is a great round. Ammo is expensive, but it is a carry gun, not a range gun. The "ribber" grip makes it easy to shoot, but hard to draw from concealment. The ported barrel is nice, but recoil is still a handful. I gave $350 NIB. What did you give for yours, if you don't mind me asking?

I got it for $349 plus fees. It came out to $394 after shipping and taxes. I shoot .44 special in my Super Redhawk and have plenty of brass. I saw this gun at a local show for $459. (The $349 is dealer cost) You got a heck of a deal on yours for $350. 0 -
I have its twin in .357mag. Like it alot. I'm hate recoil and find that the taurus is extremely managable. Excellent gun, you'll like it. 0 -
I bought my Dad a Charter Arms Bulldog .44 special for him to carry while ginseng hunting in the mountains and I liked it as well. It weighs 23oz. and the Taurus is 19oz. I just wanted to try a titanium framed revolver to see how they act. I've heard some positive things,AE corrosion proof, lightweight and almost indestructible. 0 -
My wife has one in .38 special and if it scales up to .44 without any surprises, it should be a good gun. I certainly feel the kick in that more than if I shoot .38 specail in my SS Taurus 605, but it is still manageable. As stated earlier, I don't think you will find it a fun range gun for shooting all day, but it should be a good carry gun.

Speaking of Titanium Tauruses (Tauri?(sp?)) Do any of you folks out there know where I might obtain a .32 H&R mag. in "stealth Grey"??
Thanks,
