Kahrs
I have a Kahr P9 and a Kahr T9. Good shooters and small carry pieces.
I happened onto a good deal Saturday on a kahr P40. Now I have three.
And the question is: With a little mallet and punch needed to dislodge the takedown pin, a Kahr is hard to field strip. Does it get easier? I'm still considering using the P40 as trading leverage at the next gun show, unless field stripping gets easier.

I use the rubber backend of a screwdriver to dislodge the slidestop on my K9. After stripping it at least 50-60 times, no it does not get any easier. The bugger is in there solid, and if I try using my thumb, I just can't get enough force on it. This is part of the reason it's my wife's carry piece now and I continue to carry my trusty 1911 while out at the farm. 0 -
Good info, Ducky. Hmmm ...leverage I have, for the gun show. 0 -
Are all Kahrs like this? I was thinking about buying an MK40 for concealed carry. I saw a Springfield XD subcompact in .40 I really liked this weekend as well. 0 -
I'm not sure about other Kahrs, but I imagine so. In the manual, it specifically states that you need a mallet or backend of a screwdriver to pop that sucker out. I guess it's not a problem, unless like you say Nick, you need to field strip it. 0
