Taurus 94 for my son

Thinking of getting Taurus 94 for my son for Christmas, his first handgun! However I've heard that their triggers are rough and hard to pull, have never tried one. Anyone know if this is true? He'ss 11 yrs old. Also, if it is true is there anythin that can be done?

  Yes it is true. I never thought that the gun was worth the time or trouble. I bought it as a fun gun for my kids to shoot.

  The trigger is stiff, but not nessasarily rough. They simply put lawyer proof springs in the gun. A set of wolff springs should lighten things up nicely. Nice gun for the money, I would have rather had a 617 s&w, but they are more that twice the money.
