SUPER BLACK HAWK 44. CAL
i have a super black hawk 44 cal. ruger pistol, in like new condition!was my grandfathers...serial # 80-06585, it has a silver shell pusher outer,, and the hammer is silver and where the pistol grips are attached is silver, dont know what kind of metal it is made off, or value,, please, any help would be liked,i measure from the back of the cylinder(where you put the shells in) it measures out to little over 6 and a half inches. thanks for your time once again! your Ruger does not sound factory original, the ser# you give puts it at a 1969 gun , barrel lenght should be 7 1/2" measured from the front of the cyl. , the gun should be all blue ,
does the gun have 3 screws in the side of the frame or 2 pins ?
sounds like there could have been some custom work done to it ,
value ? best GUESS some where between 250 and 350 , unless you find some one that likes what has been done to it0 -
There was a polished aluminum grip frame and ejector rod housing available as an aftermarlet add-on. That's probably what you have. I have one from the 70's with that mod. Looks cool, but I don't know how much it changes value. I didn't like the look of the aluminum ejector rod housing and since the gun came with the original parts, I changed it back and left the polished aluminum trigger/grip frame on it with a simulated mother of pearl grip. It's been that way for 30 years and hundreds of rounds and is still solid as a rock. The hammer was always polished steel. 0
