MARLIN 450 question

As I recall they used to make a stainless and ported carbine in .450 Marlin, similar to their Guide Guns. However, Marlin ditched their ported carbines due to noise level complaints. These ported short barrel carbines were very, very, very, LOUD!!, and did not really reduce recoil all that much. Especially, since these magnum rounds were being fired out of carbine length barrels anyway.

Thank you Boomer. I guess I have to look for an old one then. I own a couple of ported rifles, and yes they are LOUD. I figure though, I wear heavy sound protection, at the range where I do most of my shooting. ANY help in recoil reduction is welcome when shooting multiple rounds. [8D]

Wizard I think I found a distributor that has some of these SS 450's in supply. I'll try to call them tomorrow and find out for sure.
