From the patent date and the serial number, it appears that you have a 3rd Model, .38 Cal., AKA the " Lemon Squeezer".

They were made between 1890 & 1898, with over 70,000 produced.

Flayderman values them in the condition you describe, between $100 & $200.

Posting an image to a forum is no big problem, as long somebody points you in the right direction. Hopefully this will help.

For starters, you need to make sure you're using an online image hosting service of some sort. DON'T POST A IMAGE FROM YOUR HARDDRIVE i.e. THAT'S IN YOUR COMPUTER, VERY VERY BAD THINGS CAN HAPPEN, YOU DONT WANT TO GIVE BAD PEOPLE DIRECT ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER. There are many places available, some free and others fee-based. Doing a quick Google search for "online photo hosting" should yield quite a few results. Many Internet service providers (AOL, Earthlink, etc.) also include photo hosting or Web space you can use -- many times this is included with your membership without any additional charge.

Once you've found the hosting service of your choice and you've uploaded the images from your computer to that site, you're ready to start posting.

Let's say you're trying to post an image of your flobert_rifle; hypothetically the name of your photo hosting service is photos.com and the link to this image is found at the following URL

    1), http://www.photos.com/youraccount/flobert_rifle.jpg.

Just insert the above URL in the body of your post, anybody who is reading your post will be able to view your picture by just clicking on the URL.

Following is a pic. sent to me. Now that we can see the revolver it is deninately not a Lemon Squeezer.

I've asked Manchie for some further info and hopefully a couple pix of closer detail.

I'd put it as a 38 DA 2nd model based on S/N but the 1890 patent date conflicts wiith that. However if you go with 3rd model the S/N isn't right for that model.

Since there was no mention of the cal. I went a made a pass through the 32 DA but again run into conflicts where the 3rd Model 32DA matches on recurve trigger guard, but conflicts with Patent Date and S/N and the 4th Model 32 conflicts because it has a rounded rther than recurve trigger guard. I've asked for a confirmation of the caliber.

Now we wait for a little more info.
