Compact .40 S&W: Glock or Beretta?
Which is the better Compact .40 calibur handgun? Beretta's 9000s or Glock's 27?

My vote would go to the Glock 27.But I havent ever fired a Beretta 9000s,just handled one.I just like how the Glock felt more and it fired pretty nice for such a small .40S&W too.

EAA Witness compact in 10mm. But that was not one of your choices. sooo I like the feel of the Beretta. I do not believe you will go wrong with ither. But, check out the 10mm witness. my 2 cents [8D]

Glock 27, or Glock 23.

Beretta, has all the bells and whisles and is a great compact gun with a decocker!
I measured it and cut it twice, and it's still too short!0 -
I got a 9000 in 9mm went to the range and did not like it and i rented a Gloch 27 and shoot really goon groups of course neither gun are for target but in my case I did a lot better with the 27 and thats what I carry now!!! and sold the Beretta 0 -
I've had several beretta compacts, one in 9 mm and one in 40 s&w, and had extractors break on both. I now have a Glock 27 in 40 s&w, which is ok, as long as accuracy isn't an issue. I also have an EAA Witness 40 s&w compact, which is 10 times the gun, always works, is accurate, which I consider to be important things for a weapon that I'd use anywhere other than on the range. As a future LEO, I consider reliability the most important thing of all, which berettas don't have, but Glocks and my EAA are great at. 0 -
It really depends on the safety features that you are looking for. Police carry glocks cause when you have a chambered round...all you need to do is pull the trigger...no safety to switch. The Berretta on the other hand, does have safety features that will allow you to carry "cocked and locked" with a safety in place. If you are not worried about safety features, then the glock is probably the way to go simply because police forces around the world and armed forces have put the glock through every test and its performed without a hitch.

My G27 is tough, absolutely dependable and quite accurate for its size. Don't know much about the Beretta but my G27 would be one of the last gun I would ever part with.
Glocks were designed as a combat pistol. Their reliablility and toughness were engineered from the start.

I'll second Gap's comments about the 10mm... Many people aren't familar with the 10mm so the picture is below. EAA is a fine firearm, but out of your choice I'd take the Glock.
The 10mm - either you've got it, or you don't get it...0 -
Which do you feel more comfortable with?

About how expensive is 10mm ammo in comparison with .40?
