Need just a tiny bit more info, Markings, letters, etc. There was quite a few 1911 Mfg's during war time. The letters and markings will narrow down "WHO made it" and when. [:)]
If aulthentic "GI Issue", I would venture to guess at least $850$450 to $1500 and up (depending on condition and rearity). [:)]
Those who live by the
sword get shot by those who don't.

Terry, if your gun is all original the slide should be a Remington Rand slide. The P proof mark stamped on the frame and on top of the slide should match exactly. This gun made in 1945 in excellant condition (not refinished) and all original should bring no less than $1000.00. 0 -
We still need more information.
Remove the barrel & describe it for us - color & all markings.
With a ruler, measure the length of the Remington Rand inscription on the slide.
Look inside the magazine well for the "staking" around the stock screw bushings. These will be triangular markings in a circle around the bushing. Let us know if these markings are bright metal or gray parkerized.
