Sphinx Pistols

Does anybody know anything about Sphinx brand pistols? I remember seeing them in a magazine once, they made high end semi-auto pistols. They also made a nice .380 that I once seen at a gunshow. Is the sphinx compan still in business? I would appreciate any info.
