    Do you have a big long screwdriver? That's all it takes, once you get the butt plate or recoil pad off. One friend uses an automotive jack handle.

    That takes care of the butt, but you really need a forend wrench to remove and install the forend. These are available from www.brownells.com. They sell one that will work on many different shotguns that is actually cheaper than the Remington tool that only works on one.

    To add one little tip, Before Inserting a screwdriver into the recoil pad screw holes Put some gun oil or grease on the screwdriver tip
    so when you are turning the screws you dont tear up the holes in the rubber[;)]
