Marlin 883 Trigger Question

I recently purchased an 883 (.22 WMR) in good condition. After a good cleaning, bore sighting and dry firing the rifle, I find that the trigger is crisp, but quite a bit on the heavy side for my liking. Does anyone know if the trigger can be adjusted on this model?

  the trigger is NOT adjustable. however, with some careful stoning and replacing the spring behind the trigger, a pull of 1 1/2# is easy to acheive. this must be done with care and a working knowledge of the workings of the trigger and its relating parts. this should not be undertaken by the kitchen table gunsmith

  Thanks for the info. Fortunately I do know a couple of competent gunsmiths who I would trust with the job. The first one I happen to run into at the range will get the assignment.
