.50 Caliber Experts Needed

What is the consensus on what scope to put on this gun. I know they push the Barrett(Swarvoski) 10x42 but would like an adjustable objective. What do the experts have on their guns ? Thanks..

    I put a Springfield Armory 3.5-10 matte pro plex scope on my .50 bmg and the adjustable ojective is a must.[8D]

    I put a Bushnell 3x9 Trophy on one to see if it would hang together and it's still working great after over 300 shots. As soon as it falls apart I'll use a Redfield 8x32x40 Target on it for a test.
    On another I have a Bausch and Lomb 6-24x40 and looks like it'll last forever. That sliding shock-absorbing mount seems to work just right.

    I haven't scoped a big one with the 45" barrel. It's heavy enough that any target scope should work o.k.

    I'm not sure if those $800 scopes are really that necessary.
    These things try to shove you off the chair when shooting on the bench, but they don't rap you near as severe as a .458 Win Mag.

    I have an AR50 w/ Swaroski Sportsman 10x52
    But then too the AR50 with the big Shark muzzle break is not as hard on scope as say the other brands with no or smaller muzzle breaks.
    Also have used TargetSports 9x24 52mmlens, $225, it held up but the recticle moves around after about 3rds.
    Alot of guys use the Nightforce scope and like them, but all of them are over $800.
