Beretta 9000S
I just bought a NIB Beretta 9000S in 40 S & W - paid $425.00 which I think is a good price. I know zip about this gun. I usually stick to 1911s & Browning HP when it comes to semi autos, and plastic is usually a no go, but this thing just looks neat. Any opinions, negative as well as positive, of the gun?
I'm having a tough time finding mags - no Mecgar or Promags found for the 9000S. Does anyone have a source?

Any opinions on this gun in 40 S & W? I've handled but not shot. It does have a rather wide grip which is OK for me. 0 -
Just a tongue-in-cheek thought with a grain of advice in the middle; Remember that handling a pistol at the shop is for us like handling a puppy is to a child at the dog pound: We hold it, we want it. True, handling is an important test, but most of of us encounter few of those we hold, which we find unacceptable. Look also at stats, field stripping ease, etc. Field stripping isn't much of a bugaboo to many, but for some it can be a small hassle. You're looking at Berretta ...I never met one I didn't like. 0 -
I carry the Beretta 9000s DAO 95% of the time as a Duty back up weapon.Mine has never failed to feed,is very accurate at 25 yrds and has a descent trigger.Also I get 12 + 1 rounds of 9mm+P in a slightly larger gun than a .380.It will also except 15 RD Model 92 Mags with a adapter you can purchase from Beretta.But it makes the grip the size of a full sized model and defeats the compactness I need.

I ordered the 9000S type F but still haven't picked it up yet. I'll write a review for it once I have a chance to put some rounds through it. I think I'll go matermelon hunting with some cheap hollow points [}:)]
