revolver value
I have a S&W model 25 Mountain Gun in .45 Colt. I purchased the gun about six months before I was permanently disabled. It has had about 500 rounds through it and I replaced the original grips with a pair of Ajax "Ivory" round butt grips (I still have the original grips). I've looked at several sources and cannot find a value on the revolver. I was wondering if anyone out there might have an idea of the value of the gun.

24th ed of Blue Book shows 98% as $260. To me this is about $90 low for this area. IMHO $350 is not unreasonable for any N-frame (even a 28) in excellent condition. The 28 is nothing but a 27 without all of the spit and polish or bells and whistles.

$300-350 is good range for Northern Ohio area

I think it depends on the dash . if it is a "27", without a dash number like 3 or some other number , to me its worth more . the books don't rank them this way however .Standard Catalog of Smith & wesson says , nib 375,
exc. 250 , vg 200 , Guild Lines only.0 -
Does the barrel lenght have anything to do with value? I guess what I was wondering is if a four or six inch is worth more? 0
