Remington 870 Value?

I have an opportunity to purchase a Remington 870 Wingmaster--20 gauge-fixed mod choke--with vent rib--2 3/4" only for my son. Made in 1982. Had fewer than 3 boxes of shells through it. What would be a reasonable price to offer? The prices listed on the auction for 870s are quite variable.

  w/o Rem. chokes book is about $300 for 98% condition.
  
  Since your question pertained to offer on the gun I would suggest $200 to $225 as the opener and see where it all goes, but don't think you should pay over $300 for fixed mod. choke model.

  if you are lucky maybe as low as 200 but i would not go any higher than about 275

  i paid 250 for mine at about 90%. and i got 1 1/2cases of ammo w/ it. [:D]
