    Natchez www.natchezss.com sells Aguila, "22 Sniper SubSonic",thats loaded with a 60 grain bullet for $2.84 a box.

    yeah aguila has a 60 grain round which i think is the only 22 bullet you can get that is over 40 grains. its available from cabelas and other online retailers.

    You might also try a bullet with a little more impulse. Try a higher velocity round first. Remember, force=mass x velocity squared so increases in velocity will have an exponential effect on recoil impulse where mass increases will only increase recoil proportionately.

    I suspect the energy involved is momentum. In that case mass is just
    as important as velosity. Increasing the velosity by using a lighter bullet would only work IF the velosity increase were greater than the reduction in bullet weight. Time might also be a factor in a blowback pistol & if so then the lower velosity bullet would have a longer time to impart recoil energy.
