browning shotgun
I have a Browning Auto-5 semiautomatic 20 gauge shotgun. It is about 20 years old. It is still in the box, never shot and never even put together. I even have the original reciept, about $600 new.

I am searching for some hard to find info on a Browning double which has Beligum markings. Nice gun and has "twelvette" engraved on it. Last make somewhere around 1969. Have some info but Internet search is for nought right now. 12 ga, semi-auto, 28" barrel.
Thanks in advance, Franko0 -
The old saying
"whatever the market will bear"--- IMHO your friend grossly underestimated the value of your BSS Sporter, and the gun, in my market, is easily worth the current bid !0 -
WORTH AT LEAST WHAT HAS BEEN BID. ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF WHAT THE "BOOKS' ARE WORTH.
I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.0 -
My "blue book" says that, that gun at a 100% would have a value of about $1100. What the book doesn't take into account, is you have the box and paperwork. But most of all you have the history. This adds to what the book doesn't tell you. It's not like you can go into any gunshop and find one on the shelf. What you have is on the rare side and that's what the hi-bidder is paying for.
Gun value books show an average value. It's not set in concrete, and the information is at least a year old, sometimes more. you have not misrepresented the gun. Regards Dave0
