I've used Wolf spring kits on both Smith and Ruger revolvers and semi-autos and I've had no problems.

If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!

My wife has the same problem with the double action pull.
I have been considering changing the springs.
Will these springs make that much of a difference?

    The gene pool needs chlorine.

My trigger smoothed up alot as I shot it more.Ive used wolf springs and there very good springs.Of course I sometimes carry mine as a Back up Duty weapon and dont mind the double action pull.Hope it works out well for ya.

Jim, i used the Wolff kit on a friends Redhawk. Big difference! The lightest hammer spring did have some problems hitting the primer hard enough.

I have used Wolff Springs for many years in a lot of different arms. Good product, does what they say it does and have never had a problem with them. Put the spring kit in and test fire at least a few rounds through it just to make sure.

jsergovic: I've never had the sp-101 but have put spring kits in redhawks, blackhawks, super blackawks and single six , never had a problem , usually go with the in between spring weight, , good all around balance between being reliable and lighting the pull down to where you can handle it , kits are usually easy to put in just make sure you wear safty glasses while working around that hammer spring and make sure you work on it in a room with a hard floor covering in case you drop a spring [:D]

Been there, done that, went back. I installed the Wolf springs in my SP101 and it did reduce the DA trigger pull. It also greatly reduced the reliability with some makes of ammunition. A weaker main spring produces a weaker hammer blow. I went back to the factory spring and reliability returned to 100%. Trade the Ruger in on a gun that has a flat main spring with a tension adjusting screw. Then you should be able to find a setting that reduces the DA pull and still gives sufficient hammer blow. I do it with Smith & Wessons all the time.
